SOLAR HUB JOINS FORCES WITH THE BLUES

Solar Hub has officially partnered with the Blues as the club’s Official Solar Energy Partner for the 2025 season.

Solar Hub is a leading sustainable energy solutions provider, specialising in custom-designed solar systems, energy storage systems, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and solar farm development.

Blues Members will receive exclusive benefits through the new partnership, including complimentary energy assessment and solar design for their homes and businesses.

These assessments, carried out by qualified engineers, will be designed to reduce energy consumption, lower carbon footprints, and optimise savings.

Blues Members can also access a range of exclusive offers upon installation, including supply and installation of a 22kW AC charger or up to 5 free solar panels for enhanced savings, or a 10% further discount on Solar Hub’s best offer.

This new partnership is a major milestone in sports and sustainability and sets a bold precedent for environmental leadership within Super Rugby.

Solar Hub’s mission to champion renewable energy solutions across New Zealand, Fiji, and the Pacific aligns perfectly with the Blues' values of leadership and innovation.

Together, they aim to inspire fans and businesses alike to take action towards a greener, more sustainable future.

Solar Hub Founders and Directors, Yogesh and Sangita Chand, expressed their excitement about the partnership, highlighting its significance not just for the company but for the future of renewable energy in New Zealand.

“Rugby is the heartbeat of Aotearoa, and we’re thrilled to team up with the Blues to promote sustainability on and off the field.”

“This partnership allows us to extend our renewable energy mission, supporting the Blues while empowering Kiwi businesses and households to take control of their energy future. Together, we’re building a more sustainable tomorrow.”

Blues CEO, Andew Hore said the partnership was hopefully the start of a long-standing relationship.

“We love the value our partners can offer to our fans and are especially looking forward to having the Solar Hub crew involved in Membership and Match Day experiences,” said Hore.

“We’re also just starting on our sustainability journey, but are excited to learn more and connect with our partners such as Solar Hub on combined initiatives,” he said.

This partnership is groundbreaking as Solar Hub becomes the first solar energy company to partner with a New Zealand-based Super Rugby club.

Together, Solar Hub and the Blues are championing renewable energy while showcasing the powerful synergy between business, sport, and environmental leadership..
