The Blues are passionate about partnerships and have a process with partners that focuses on the three C’s:
COMMUNICATION
Communication is key in any relationship. As a partner of the Blues you’ll have weekly or monthly WIPs (work in progress) meetings which ensures we keep communication strong and are aligned with partners on various work streams and outcomes. In addition, we survey partners bi-annually about our performance and also have a Blues partner app which offers a one stop shop for information on the Blues including news and events. Most importantly though it features profiles on all our corporate partner businesses, key personnel and enables partners to interact with each other in a safe and secure environment.
CONNECTIONS
Connections ensure a high level of trust amongst partners. The Blues make a concerted effort to build connections with our partners. We want partners to know they belong and are part of the Blues whanau. Events like the Blues’ Golf Day and an open invitation to our Blues training sessions opens the doors and brings partners into the inner sanctum of the club.
COLLABORATION
Collaboration between partners and suppliers is important for ongoing success. The Blues have spent time trying to better recognise what motivates our partners and how partnership success is perceived. Understanding return on objectives is critical and differs substantially from partner to partner. By spending more time with partners, building a simple one-page plan which is reviewed regularly and looking for collaboration opportunities, we have achieved some great outcomes with partners and celebrated genuine win-wins.
