PJ Sheck was born in Porirua and plays for the Wellington Lions in the Bunnings NPC.  

After making his Super Rugby debut for the Highlanders in 2023, he came north to join the Blues for the 2024 season. 

Sheck spent large parts of 2024 learning from the experienced front rowers at the Blues under the watchful eye of Scrum Coach Greek Feek.  

He got his opportunity to debut for the Blues against the Melbourne Rebels in the middle part of the season, icing the special moment with a try from close range. He went on to play in a further two matches in the championship season. 

Sheck returns to the Blues in 2025 with more experience and will be looking to further his development and push for more game time.  

PJ is contracted with the Blues through until the end of the 2025 season.
