Hooker James Mullan joins the Blues from the Crusaders for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.

Mullan will turn 22-years-old just a week before he heads into pre-season training at Blues HQ and will be looking to learn off experienced Blues hookers Ricky Riccitelli and Kurt Eklund.

Standing at 6’2”, Mullan is a tall hooker who attended Rangiora High School in Christchurch and he also represented NZ Schools in his teenage years.

James is contracted with the Blues through until the end of the 2026 season.
