BLUES EYE SELL-OUT FOR GRAND FINAL REMATCH
The Blues have set a lofty goal to ‘Pack the Park’ for their opening 2025 Super Rugby Pacific match against the Chiefs on February 15.
Last season’s Super Rugby Pacific Grand Final between the Blues and Chiefs sold-out within hours of going on-sale and the Blues want to replicate the sell-out atmosphere both sets of fans created for that epic occasion.
February 15 promises to be a barmy summer’s evening and the Blues are providing fans with a special limited time ticket offer - $20 adults, $10 kids tickets in Eden Park’s East Stand.
Blues CEO Andrew Hore said the sharp ticket offer is an acknowledgment of the support the Blues received last Super Rugby Pacific season.
“This great offer in the East Stand will hopefully get as many Blues fans as possible attending our opening game. It also gives those fans who missed out on Grand Final tickets a chance to see the rematch against the Chiefs in 2025,” Hore said.
“What a way to start the competition – the two best teams in the Southern Hemisphere, both laden with superstar All Blacks, playing in-front of a bumper Eden Park crowd - you won’t want to miss this one!”
Blues Head Coach Vern Cotter is also buzzing ahead of the opening round Grand Final rematch.
“How good would it be if we pack the park for this opening match against the Chiefs. We know they’ll be out for revenge but we’re here to defend our home turf and start our season on the right foot,” said Cotter.
“We’ve seen our boys come back with real intent around their pre-season training and you can feel the desire to go the whole way once again in 2025.
“Playing in front of a massive crowd always gets the boys up and firing – the fans got us home in the Grand Final last year and we need them at Eden Park on February 15 once again,” said Cotter.
The Blues will be starting 2025 with a BANG at Eden Park with an on-field opening ceremony before kick-off to celebrate the new season and unveil 2024 Super Rugby Aupiki and Super Rugby Pacific Championship Banners.
In addition to the East Stand offer for Round One, there are other great ticketing deals at the Blues all season long.
The ‘kid’s combo’ ticket, where fans can purchase a kids ticket including hot chips and a drink starting from just $20 will be available throughout the season.
“We all know watching live rugby and eating hot chips goes hand-in-hand for our youngest Blues fans. We trialled the ‘kid’s combo’ option last season and had good feedback so we’re rolling it out in 2025 and hope plenty of families take advantage of this excellent offer,” said Hore.
