SAM DARRY OUT WITH SHOULDER INJURY

Blues lock Sam Darry has been ruled out of the Blues Super Rugby Pacific season following a shoulder injury sustained at training last week.

The injury has been assessed and will require surgery. It is expected that Darry will be fit in time for the All Blacks selection window.

“It was just one of those crazy little things that happen at training,” said Blues Head Coach Vern Cotter.

“It’s really unfortunate for Sam. We’ll miss him and we wish him all the best with his recovery.”

Darry debuted for The Blues in 2021. He has continued to improve his game and made big strides for the Blues in their championship-winning 2024 season.

Darry impressed All Blacks selectors and made his international debut against Fiji in San Diego in 2024.
