Prop Aldora Itunu is an inspiration to mothers everywhere after she returned to rugby in 2024 having given birth to her son, Ezekiel. 

Itunu is an experienced player having notched up more than 50 caps for the Auckland Storm and was part of the Black Ferns Women’s Rugby World Cup victory in 2017.  

She made a serious impression in the nib Blues 2024 Aupiki campaign, celebrating a successful return to rugby by being named the nib Blues ‘Forward of the Year’.  

Her comeback to rugby was complete when she was named in the Black Ferns squad following the Aupiki season. 

Itunu is a specialist in the dark arts of scrummaging and packs a serious punch on defence. She will be looking to make her presence felt in the 2025 campaign as the nib Blues look to go back-to-back.
