Chryss is a prop to watch with a bright future. After fighting her way back from a serious knee injury, she is on a mission to make up for lost time.
Viliko has been part of the Auckland Storm FPC squad since 2019 and plays her club rugby for Marist in Auckland – under the watchful eye of Director of Rugby Waisake Sotutu.
In 2021, Chryss was welcomed into the Blues squad for the inaugural Aupiki Super Rugby competition.
Chryss attended the Black Ferns trials in 2022, where she caught the eye of Black Ferns selectors. She then backed up her potential with influential Aupiki and FPC campaigns to earn her inaugural call up to the Black Ferns squad where she made her debut in the Laurie O’Reilly Cup against Australia.
Viliko has continued to deliver on her early promise, she was a fixture in the 2024 nib Blues championship season where her strength in the scrums helped lay a solid platform for the team.
She was once again selected in the Black Ferns squads for both the Laurie O’Reilly Cup and WXV where she gained more valuable game time in the black jersey.
Despite her age, Viliko is quickly becoming an experienced member of the nib Blues team. She returns for the 2025 season full of confidence and will be looking to continue her development as a prop with the help of scrum coach Census Johnston.
