Social Media & Digital Content Specialist

Do you have experience in running social media for an organisation and want to work for one of the most successful and storied clubs in world rugby?

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on social media and digital content superstar who knows what makes fans tick.

Reporting to the GM, Brand & Community, the purpose of the role is to engage fans through the design, production and implementation of engaging content to help grow the Blues fan base.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Blues social platforms, website and publishing calendar. You will develop and advise on the best social content and plans to deliver on our key business objectives.

Your background in social media, marketing, communications or advertising, and experience in content creation, publishing and advertising on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram are essential to this role. A demonstrated understanding of the rapidly evolving social media ecosystem and social content is also required.

You don’t need to be an expert in rugby but more than a passing interest will be valuable.

 

You do need to bring the following attributes and experience;

  • Digitally savvy, creative and a strategic thinker
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WordPress (or similar content creation/publishing tool) and the Adobe suite including video editing tools e.g. Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • A values-driven approach
  • Energetic team player
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role

 

Key to this role will be your ability to earn the trust and respect of the Blues squad and coaches, and ability to deliver added-value for our commercial partners.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required during the Investec Super Rugby season.

Membership Manager

Do you have experience running the membership programme for an organisation and want to work for one of the most successful and storied clubs in world rugby?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Membership Manager that can help us deliver a world class membership programme.

Reporting to the GM, Brand & Community, the purpose of the role is to develop and implement a premium, differentiated membership programme and to enhance our members’ experience.

You will be responsible for acquisition and retention strategies, end to end campaign management, segmentation and contact plans and direct communications through our CRM system.

Your background in developing and marketing membership programmes, delivering services, campaign planning and CRM will be essential. You’ll be customer centric and go above and beyond to provide outstanding service. You will have developed a strong understanding of segmentation and how to use CRM systems effectively.

You don’t need to be an expert in rugby but a passing interest will be valuable.

 

You do need to bring the following attributes and experience;

  • A relevant qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing manager/campaign manager/product manager type role
  • Must be able to demonstrate considerable experience in delivering projects end-to-end
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Copywriting skills

 

Key to this role will be your ability to successfully evolve our membership offer and to maintain an organisational commitment to the programme.
