Reporting into the Chief Executive and representing a key leadership role within the organisation, you will have responsibility for achieving the Blues annual commercial revenue targets and managing the commercial portfolio of partners.
Overseeing a small team, you will lead the commercial strategy and delivery of sponsorship, membership, ticketing and merchandise activities. The Commercial Manager will also support the Chief Executive with strategic commercial growth initiatives.
You will manage the Blues sponsorship and hospitality portfolio including acquisition, leverage and retention of its commercial partners. You will work closely with and ensure coordination with NZ Rugby commercial department. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and managing the membership acquisition, engagement and service strategy. You will oversee the ticketing strategy, pricing, reporting and manage the game day ticketing process as well as developing and managing the merchandise strategy, product range, distribution and sell through.
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within a senior commercial or marketing position and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sponsorship or sales management on either brand or rights holder side. You will have outstanding business acumen, strong networking and relationship skills as well as excellent presentation ability. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Business.
