Scott is an imposing lock, standing at 2m tall. Originally from St Kentigern College, he helped his school win the Auckland college final in 2011. He was selected for NZ Schools the same year and represented New Zealand at the 2013 Junior World Championship in France.

He has been part of the Auckland set up since 2014, as well as spending two years with the Blues development team. Scott made his Blues debut against the Waratahs in 2016 and featured regularly during the 2017 season.

Unfortunately for Scott, his 2018 season was cut short due to injury. His discipline and dedication to recovery has been exemplary, paying close attention to detail in an effort to get back on the field. Scott returned for the Blues in 2019 with all cylinders firing making his return to the field after nearly a year off of it against the Sunwolves at QBE Stadium.

At the end of the 2019 Super Rugby season Scott decided to head south, taking his considerable size and experience to bolster the Hurricanes forward pack.
