A member of the world champion New Zealand Under-19 side in 1999, Jason Shoemark has also won two international titles with the New Zealand Under-21s and captained the side to the World Cup in South Africa in 2001.
Shoemark made six appearances for the Blues from 2002-2003 but then shifted south to Otago in 2004, following that up by making the Highlanders in 2005.
In 2006 he headed to Hawke’s Bay, and after showing some fine form for the Magpies, he was drafted back to the Highlanders in 2008, where he remained until the end of the 2010 season.
He then signed a contract for recently promoted English club Exeter Chiefs, playing for the side from 2010 to 2014 then returning to Hawkes Bay for provincial rugby.
