Isa Nacewa was at home in any position from first five-eighths to fullback and was a useful goal kicker as well during his 44 games for the Blues from 2005-08. He was another in a long line of legendary Fijian wingers like Joeli Vidiri, Rupeni Caucaunibuca and Joe Rokocoko who have thrived as potent attacking weapons for the Blues.
He would certainly have been an All Black but appeared for Fiji briefly as a youngster at the 2003 World Cup, and thus made himself ineligible for New Zealand.
He left the Blues at the end of the 2008 season to play for Leinster in the Magners League and Heineken Cup competitions.
