Michael Reid

The former North Harbour captain made 48 appearances for North Harbour and one for the Blues, before injury forced an early retirement at age 25. Ruptured tendons were deemed irreparable, even after four seasons or rehabilitation and surgery. Fortunately, the prop had a Bachelor of Commerce degree to utilise after leaving professional sport.
