GET MATCH READY: Blues v Chiefs 31 January

The Blues take on the Chiefs this Friday in Round 1 of the 2020 Super Rugby season.

To help you get match fit for this week’s big game here’s a few tips.

Entry A, D, E & H will open at 5.30pm.  Kick off for the Blues vs Chiefs is at 7.05pm.

We recommend you get to the stadium early to enjoy the pre-match entertainment and you’ll have more time to enjoy the activities around the stadium and get settled in your seat before the game kicks off.

Come along and soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some of the activities and giveaways from our partners that will be located around the stadium.

We’re excited to welcome Toppee Flat to Eden Park this Friday night. Helping us kick off the 25th season of Super Rugby these 5 hip musicians from the APO Young Achievers program are sure to be a crowd pleaser with their unique style that draws on the vibe of a New Orleans brass band crossed with the flair of the Fresh Prince! We think you’re going to like their playlist of classic hits and Kiwi favourites. But don’t take our word for it – get along to the game to see for yourself.

We recommend that you buy online before you get to the game. That way, you’re all sorted with the seating zone you want and know that all you have to do is show up at the gates. That’s not all, on match day you can use your ticket to travel to Eden Park on trains and special event buses – PLUS when you buy before gates open, you save money.

WARNING – when you shop online for tickets, please be sure that you only purchase from Ticketmaster, our authorised ticket agent.

We know internet search results can get confusing when you’re trying to find tickets. Unauthorised sellers often pay for ads to appear at the top of search results which can make it hard to see what’s official and what’s not.

Please take extra care when searching for tickets, read the results carefully and look for WWW.TICKETMASTER.CO.NZ

Public entry into Eden Park will be through Gates A, D, E and H.

If you have any questions regarding access to Eden Park on game day, we recommend that you read the Eden Park Conditions of Entry. Please be aware that staff will be monitoring ticket holders at the entry points to Eden Park. Any adult who attempts to enter the stadium with a child’s ticket will be declined and re-directed to the ticket office to purchase a full price adult ticket. ‘Gates Open’ ticket prices will apply.

Travel on trains and special event buses to and from the match is included with your match ticket or membership.

There are changes to the transport options for the Blues season this year. The Takapuna, Newmarket and North Shore to Eden Park special event buses are no longer running. If you’re coming from the North Shore you can catch the NX1 from a Busway Station (excludes Hibiscus Coast) and transfer to a train at Britomart to Kingsland Station.  For travel from Newmarket, catch the train to Kingsland Station.

Free travel is available with your membership on the NX1 buses from the North Shore and all rail services from 4:35pm until the last service on the night. Additional capacity on the NX1 buses has been organised to cater for Blues patrons travelling to and from the match. Special event buses will be running from Manukau/Botany/Pakuranga at set times pre match and then for one hour post (or until crowds are clear).  Please see Auckland Transport website for further information

Traffic will be heavy and there will be road closures and restrictions – plan ahead and travel early and consider walking or riding a bike to the match.  There are parking restrictions around Eden Park so please check here for detailed information and parking maps.
