The Blues players are getting in behind the relief fund in the Pacific in the wake of Cyclone Gita.
They are encouraging fans to join them in supporting Red Cross in a special appeal to aid families in the Pacific Islands who are most in need.
Red Cross will stage an appeal at the Blues first home game of the Super Rugby season against the Chiefs at Eden Park on Friday 2 March.
“The players and Blues staff are supporting the Red Cross Pacific Disaster Fund by making a donation, and we are hoping fans will join us in this appeal,” said Augustine Pulu.
“Many of the Blues have family living in the Pacific Islands and they are suffering as a result of this cyclone. We all feel that too and want to do all we can to help them get through this and get their lives back to normal.”
There will be Red Cross bucket collectors at the game. 100% of donations to the Pacific Disaster Appeal will help those affected.
