CALEB CLARKE BACK IN BLUE FOR 2025

Star wing Caleb Clarke has recommitted to the Blues and New Zealand Rugby through until the end of 2025.

Clarke had an impressive 2024 Super Rugby Pacific campaign, scoring 10 tries and leading the competition in clean breaks (22) and metres gained (1220m).

His standout performances in the Blues’ championship season solidified his spot as one of the most devastating wings in Super Rugby Pacific and culminated in selection for the All Blacks.

Clarke said he was both proud and determined when asked about his recommitment to the Blues for 2025.

“I love this club, my family have a strong connection to the Blues and I’m proud to continue to add to that legacy,” said Clarke.

“Being part of a championship winning side was special. It’s something many of us at the Blues have strived for in recent years, so to get over the line and win Super Rugby Pacific was a dream come true.”

“The challenge now is to continue improving - teams will come hunting for us in 2025 and we need to be ready to meet that challenge,” said Clarke.

Blues Head Coach Vern Cotter said he was excited to have Clarke back for 2025.

“It’s excellent to see Caleb back in blue for another season, we love the energy he brings to our group,” said Cotter.

“He’s a powerful ball carrier, has markedly improved his defense and displayed his brilliant aerial skills from restarts and contestable kicks throughout last season.

“What was really impressive was Caleb’s ability to adapt his game to suit our style of play. He was constantly hungry for work and wasn’t afraid to get into the thick of things and mix it with the forwards,” said Cotter.
