The Blues are looking for expressions of interest from Rugby Coaches interested in coaching the 2025 Blues U20 Men’s team.

The Blues U20 Men’s rugby team is selected from age eligible players within the Blues region (Northland, North Harbour & Auckland). Identified players are invited for trial matches and training starting in early February in Auckland, before the final squad is announced in early March. The Blues U20 Men’s team will compete in the annual week-long National U20 tournament in Tāupo during mid-March 2025. 

We are looking to appoint the following coach: 

U20 Men’s Head Coach: Responsible for overall performance of the coaching group and team performance. Aligning the performance development outcomes in conjunction with the Blues U20 Men’s campaign manager.

Interested applicants should have minimum experience of coaching at Club Premier level or Provincial Age Group level at U18 (or above).

The ideal candidates would be available for campaign planning from November 2024.

*Note this coaching position is taken on a voluntary basis. Expenses relating to the team and tournament will be covered by the Blues.
