From next Wednesday, the Blues will be hitting local neighbourhoods across town. Blues in the ‘burbs is a new series brought to you by Barfoot & Thompson and hosted by four Rugby Football Clubs in Auckland.
Blues players will be dropping in to clubs after work during the month of March. There’ll be skills & drills for the kids, and the chance for everyone to meet the players, collect an autograph or a photo, and relax for an hour after work with tunes courtesy of MoreFM.
Peter Thompson, Managing Director Barfoot & Thompson sees the event as a great opportunity to connect the players with their local community.
“We’re looking forward to joining the Blues and giving back a little to the four corners of Auckland that raised our players.
“Whether it’s James Parsons from Takapuna RFC or Charlie Faumuina from Papatoetoe RFC, our players are big on remembering their roots and staying connected to local clubs,” he said.
Bring the family and a picnic, and meet some of the team at Blues in the ‘burbs. Events start at 6pm.
Head along to our Summer of Rugby events calendar to find your local Blues in the ‘burbs event. We’ll see you in the neighbourhood shortly!
