Blues development aim to finish on a high

The Blues Development team are looking to end their season on a high when they run out against Japan A at Pakuranga this evening.

For the final match of their campaign, Coach Bevan Cadwallader has named a similar line-up to the one that beat Fiji A 41-10 on Saturday.

The only changes are due to several players being on stand-by for the Blues clash against the Chiefs.
Liaki Moli will start at lock alongside Jack Whetton, while exciting 17-year-old Tevita Li returns to the starting line-up.
Cadwallader said the Blues will not be taking the Japanese lightly, despite the team heading to New Zealand winless from three Australian matches.
“Japan will bring a quick style of game and aren’t to be underestimated. Their team has a number of Top League players who are very good footballers ñ they will be tough to play against.
“The message to our boys is going to be to maintain the momentum gathered from the Fiji game and be ruthless,” said Cadwallader.
