The Blues and BNZ are hosting a Block Party on Waitangi Day.
True to the origins of a Block Party, all our friends, neighbours and fans are invited. It’s going to be a fun day out with live music, food trucks, art and plenty to entertain the whole family.
The Block Party, presented by BNZ, is at the Blues home at Alexandra Park in Epsom. Kicking off at 11am, there’ll be a wide range of food trucks to stop your stomach rumbling including Mr Dog Frites, The Rolling Pin (dumplings), famous ribs from Smoky Wheelz, Mr Whippy, the Coca Cola caravan and The Coffee Guy.
Singer/songwriter Taye Williams will be playing chilled out summer tunes so you can relax on the grass while your kids are having their face painted and running through rugby skills and drills with the team.
We’re excited to have graffiti artist legends Gasp, Rams and Berst join the Block Party to create giant Blues themed artworks.
Stick around for the afternoon because from 12.45pm you can pick up a 2019 team poster and have it signed by the team. This is your only chance to catch the full squad before the season kicks off on 16 February.
If your new year resolution is to declutter and get organised, we’d be happy to take pre-loved rugby boots off your hands. BNZ is the major partner of the Blues charity initiative, Best Foot Forward. Together we’re collecting used boots to pass on to those in need. Bring your old boots to the Block Party and drop them in collection bins stationed beside the BNZ tent.
Entry and parking is free.
